I've built a time-only skeleton clock small enough to fit under a standard-size anniversary clock dome. It is characterized by an unusual vertical crown wheel escapement which has deadbeat pallets.

The escapement of this clock is one of many on display (running) under glass domes at the museum of the National Association of Clock and Watch Collectors in Columbia, PA.
