Today I sawed out the legs for the clock. They are made from 3/16" leaded strip brass, 1" wide. The leg was designed in DeltaCad to fit within the 1-inch width of material already on hand. The legs were sawed using a Deltacad template and a jewelers saw, taking about 15 minutes per leg. Not the most interesting work in the world, but it's difficult to imagine being able to set up any machine to do the same job in less time. A jewelers saw is a remarkable tool, indeed. Finishing will require considerably more time.
The result of the corrections made to the escapement detailed in the last report was satisfactory -- the clock continues to run. Always a relief!
