The crownwheel clock is now finished. I've made eight blue screws for the posts, and screwed the movement to the wooden base, after drilling 6-32 tapped screw holes through the bottom posts and through holes in the wooden base. Since I've already covered screw-making, I won't elaborate on that.

The clock runs without a hitch, and is on the point of keeping good time. I would expect it to keep time with and error of a minute or less per week -- about what you'd expect from a movement with a light, metal, short pendulum and with a deadbeat escapement. The slider rate adjustment seems to work well. It slips easily on the pendulum rod and also stays in place. It makes neither too coarse or too fine adjustments in the rate.
